Muse, the popular British band, is now going to perform in Australia after a long wait. They last toured Australia after the release of their 6th album “The 2nd Law.”
In recent news, they have joined the summer concert line up in Australia and the British rock band will be returning to Australia for the first time since 2013, for two epic arena concerts in Sydney and Melbourne.
While the band rarely tour ahead of a new album, they have been on the road for the Northern Hemisphere summer with a run of concerts at festivals, including this week’s Lollapalooza in Chicago and the Reading festival in the UK later this month
The Supermassive Black Hole Rock group has reached the top of the charts in Australia with their last four albums. Having a great fan following in Australia, Muse can expect to bring in the crowd as usual.
They will perform at Qudos Bank Arena on December 16 and Rod Laver Arena on December 18 with general tickets on sale on December 10, with a Frontier Touring Members pre-sale from Monday.
Music fans will enjoy a raft of superstar tours in December with concerts from Sia, Paul McCartney, Culture Club, Shawn Mendes, The Weeknd, J. Cole, Yusuf/Cat Stevens and the 80s nostalgia extravaganza of K.C. and the Sunshine Band, Village People, and Sister Sledge.
Formed in 1994, the band consists of trio comprising of Matt Bellamy (lead vocalist, guitarist), Chris Wolstenholme (bass guitarist, backing vocalist, and keyboards) and Dominic Howard (drums). Currently working on a new record, it is set to be released in 2018.
The band already gave fans a taste of the record with the single “Dig Down” in May with an AI-generated lyric video which was updated daily for a month with new images and video footage and has already been viewed 8.5 million views since release.
Their likeness in Australia began when they released their first album Showbiz and toured to Australia several times for it, often performing on stages of the Big Day Out festival.
Although they are only doing two concerts this time around, it is certain that they have a bigger national tour planned for the release of their upcoming album in 2018.
